Playing the role of Big Daddy is something I don’t take lightly — #AHSNYC was an important re-telling of horrific historical truths as well as an education in the devastation that was reality in the 1980’s.

At first, I wasn’t sure how the world would receive the character of Big Daddy, but the metaphor worked brilliantly and provided a powerful through-line for the whole season.

With that said, I feel compelled to go beyond just playing the character. There is still work to be done to guarantee equal rights, provide housing and shelter and support those most vulnerable in our community.
